Particles as emiters?

I can figure this out in stride, but wondering what the means is to access particles to use as emitters or other such recursive structures in Fuse. For something more specific, I would be interested to know if I could have a particle emit others at end of lifetime (fireworks would be the classic example … not what I’m going for in my case, but could figure it out from there). Another classic example might be rain, where on collision a collection of particles is emitted.

It seems the particle access nodes (id, size, color, etc.) access per compute system, but is there a way to feed them back into the same system or access them in a secondary compute.
[I realize I may be using terms wrong here … awaiting the Node sessions to start learning what’s really going on :) ]
