Vvvv on osx via parallels

vvvv runs smooth on osx via parallels

i’ve seen no limitations in my 5 mins of testing … yes, shaders work, too

how can i post a thumbnail?

looks awesome! now the same for linux, please :-) (i tried with virtualbox already, wasn’t very/consistently fast)

@sebl:
instead of
{img src=show_image.php?id=7655}
you could use
{img src=show_image.php?id=7655 width=444}
height is scaled automatic according to the AspectRatio of the image.

using
{img src=show_image.php?id=7655 width=150 link=http://vvvv.org/tiki-browse_image.php?galleryId=11&imageId=7655}
you should be able to link to the gallery (or somewhere else…)
test the pics below.

That’s amazing if it’s true!
What happened? Before it wasn’t able to show directX, but what about now? Did Parallels change?

I saw parallels 5 is out…did you try it on Snow Leopard or not? Otherwise I may have a chance to say bye-bye to my double boot…sounds like a dream.

isn’t that parallels like a virtual machine ? how’s the ram administration ?

My computer is running under snow leopard(10.6.2)and i have a bootcamp with windows 7. I installed parallels 5 and it worked fine. However the windows system is quite heavy so vvvv ran slowly. Maybe using xp or vista is better, i am not sure. For now i rather bootcamp and switch system.

Yes, i’ve run parallels 5 under 10.6.2.
Parallels 5 has dx9 support and you can manually asign up tp 3 GB ram to the vm.

Of course, i would NEVER run vvvv in a virtual machine for real patching.
But for a fast look into some patches from the forums it is fine.

thanks for the info! that’s nice to know!

virtual box seems to be very promising, i made a thread for it:
