Simple curved projection

Sorry for asking dumb question again. I’m very very new to projection mapping techniques. I want to throw some light on curved surface.

So I search a bit and read an introduction here: projection mapping primer

Homography is simple and effective, but not in that case I suppose. I think in my case I should use second approach with GridEditor (EX9) but how should I layer my content on corresponding grid?

you connect the GridEditor to a Constant node which also takes a texture. see?
