Hello people,
I’ve been trying to interface with a Sick LMS100 for a while now, without much luck. I’ve tried over serial and ethernet ports, with rs232 and TCP connections. My problem is that I’m not receiving any data back from the unit through these connections. I’ve come across a Max object for the laser and a java driver, but would ideally like to get it running through 4v directly (the Max object is only compiled for Intel machines).
So my question is, does anyone have a bit of experience with these lasers? They’re quite pricey and not especially well documented so any input would be a great help, although I’ll be surprised if many users have worked with them.
