Record a minute, playback a minute

Hi,

im attempting to create a patch which uses a video feed and ive run into problems. The idea is the patch records the camera input for a minute, saves it to disc, and then plays it back whilst capturing the next minute to disc, and so on.

Ive attached the current state of the patch.

im having several problems, firstly my use of the toggle module to switch between filenames for capturing and playback seems wrong. Also ive been unable to succesfully capture from camera and playback from disc at the same time. Is this a fundamental issue with hard discs i wonder?

any help would be appreciated

this one works nice 4 me:

but i use monoflop instead of toggle
i use sort to get the file name of last captured file

nice jimmi - i knew i was going about the toggle thing wrong.
Everyday i learn something new with vvvv!

My other problem was the way i was encoding the video - your patch has taught me much…

now i am working on a function which will limit the amount of avis created - to keep the hardrive space use down
