Patching UX: Deleting regions without deleting contents

here’s a little wish for improving patching UX:

there are cases when it would be handy to delete a region without deleting its contents. having a shortcut to do this would be really handy (e.g. [ALT] + [Delete] or similar).

right now, one has to

  • [Shift]+Move nodes out of the region
  • [Delete] Region
  • Move nodes back to where they were before in the patch (to keep tidyness)

especially when the patch inside the region was large, this is really tedious.

Or rightclick into the region and do this via the context menu, which would be the inverse action for surrounding nodes?
