Particles along Spline or Surface

i’m looking for a method to animate particles along a surface and/or spline. so rather controlled.
vectorfields is kind of interesting but i’m looking for something similar to the good old GPUParticle library, there was an example like that, boxes on a heightmap.

is this possible out of the box with dx11.particles ?

have a look at fieldtrip. there is a girlpower example (FT_DX11.Particles_ConstrainToSurface )
