Oculus Rift graphics input?

Anyone know what kind of visual input the Oculus Rift will use? By that, I mean will the image need any pre-distortion? On their website, they mention the SDK will have “pre-made shaders”, which makes me suspect that some kind of distortion is required and that you won’t be able to just feed the display hardware a signal directly. But I’m just guessing. Anyone have more info?
