New object in patch or faster patching


id like to ask (maybe stupid question) about is there a way how to simple add new object without clicking on mouse?

and small idea for faster patching
also maybe would be nice to have some hints as are used for example in Nuke:
if there is selected node (mesh) and i am adding node (phong…) it would automatically connect first to second node
if there isn’t selected node nothing connects

I know nuke has simple inputs but maybe it could work for some standard object connection.
