How to deal with forces in ODE world?

Just to share a thought, maybe was already discussed…
is there a way to deal with forces in an ODE world other then the gravity one?
In other words, how to apply another force (such as an attractive one, however a gravitational type) to a position in the world or to a geos? Of course there will be a scenario with more forces than the gravity one… that is many force fields.
I thought about that when i tried to translate a box2d patch in an ODE one …something like an ApplyForce or Impulse Box2d nodes.
Maybe there’s no way to do that with ODE nodes, and in that case, better to go for a workaround or better going deeper in ODE knowledge?
