I hope this post is not off topic. Printer is hardware…
I’ve seen posts from several vvvv and processing.org projects which output high quality prints and I wonder what kind of printer is being used for this.

These projects seem to use special thicker paper which I believe will not work in a normal inkjet or laser printer, right?
I understand these are large format printers but I would like to find a printer which prints with this kind of quality and kind of paper at least at A3 size. What technology are they using? inkjet? laser?
Any suggestions?
