Detect object dll crash

Helo everybody.

Recently, when I’m using the detect object node with usb cameras, it keep on crashing and terminated the program. From the windows log, it writes:

Faulting application vvvv.exe, version, stamp 2a425e19, faulting module detectobject.dll, version, stamp 476c0476, debug? 0, fault address 0x000032c2.

I’m using a philips spc1300nc camera with the training file haarcascade_frontalface_alt.xml.

Any ideas on this?

May be some memory issues? Haarcascade is using a lot, depending on your settings. Keep an eye onto your Task Manager.

The same happens to me!

The error log says:

AppName: vvvv.exe AppVer: AppStamp:49515176
ModName: detectobject.dll ModVer:

No,memory is enougth (1G ram), but cpu is working a lot (100% on a pentium 4).

vvvv dies when the project complexity is a little growing up: I am trying to crop the detected image.

Thanks to all!

Currently i have the problem that vvvv crashes when i try to change the Resolution of a VideoIn (DShow9).

sadly the attached reduced version of the patch doesn’t show this behaviour reproducable; the bug occurs only sometimes but it happens while playing around.

using windows 7 this is quite annoying: windows then asks whether it should debug or quit vvvv.
assuming a relation to vvvv’s “strict closing behaviour” windows also freezes now.
the only way out is logging off from windows or restarting it.
quite annoying (152.1 kB)
