Custom regions providing datatype to nodes inside

Hi all,

I am experimenting with regions. My region provides a datatype (red) through which my high-level nodeset connects to global controllers and assets, as well as scene specific data (green) I want to move these connections into the region (node) itself, to make it less tedious to patch.

Is there an easy way to inject the BW datatype into the BW nodes inside the region? Without reworking the whole thing? Or is it somehow possible to propagate values upstream? Like the available button styles (blue). Enum would also be nice to have.

What are my options here?
