Trying to make a concept of note off in vaudio…
So am using volume but getting crackles from the amp when close to 0.
Have also tried using an inaudible frequency -10khz but seems silly as it would still generate a frequency…
Anyone?
did you use ADSR? if you switch to 0 and back without interpolation it is like generating an audio impulse in the signal. note that usually the ADSR is after the OSC, so OSC always runs at full volume but you set volume to 0 before outputting it.
also have a look at the sequence nodes in combination with ADSR which do that…

yes, that’s best practice and 99% of synths are build like that, but sometimes counter intuitive.
