Are the outputs synced?
@katzenfresser: any experience in comparison to tripleHead2go?
TripleHead2go and these MST hubs do similar things but work in a completely different way.
If you have a amd-card with for example 1xDP, 1xHDMI, 2xDVI and you connect one MST hub the combo will “feel like” one card with 3xDP, 1xHDMI, 2xDVI.
If you have a card with 2x DP you can connect 1 MST hubs and get 6 individual displays that you can combine to one big EyefinityGroup.
BUT: You can not (or at least i was not able to) enable more then 6 displays at once in the CatalystControlCenter … so connecting more than 2 MST hubs to one graphics card does not make any sense.
@bjoern:
Have not tested this, but i geuss they are NOT synced.
… these are my experiences from a first brief test some months ago … tested with Asus EAH6970 DCII and AMD FirePro W7000 … of course things might be slightly different with other cards, newer drivers …
hi all, still few questions:
goggle says there no chance to get span mode with Nvidia? right?
so eyefinity only:
I still able to connect matrox TH2G to MST hub?
what is max. configuration for matrox?
Do MST hubs handle EDID?
Some users report not reliable signal (mostly surface pro). What is the PC praxis?

but if AMD card has 2xDP + 1x HDMI > 2 MST hubs making 6 displays as span + 1 patching monitor on HDMI would work?
thanks,
dimi
you can get “span mode” with nvidia, they just call it surround. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/surround
(MST hub) Isn’t supported by NVIDIA for Surround. Will work as independent displays. The ball is in NVIDIA’s court to update their display driver.:

Is it still up-to-date?
NVIDIA Sourround isn’t working for MST hub (tested today).
Well… someone asked for support back in 2013 already…

why do you need span mode? with recent versions, it is more or less just as easy to use multiple renderers?
somebody who can tell me why KINECT with MAXMSP don’t output digital signal ? it still out put message ?
