Cant kill vvvv process

#1

hello,

sometimes my vvvv closes, but the process is still allive.
i am not able to kill it via task manager than.
if i relog with my user account there is no vvvv process anymore, but i cant start vvvv either.
the only way to resolve is to restart the computer.
is there any solution to this ?

thanks for the tip,
but it does not help either, it does kill the vvvv
app but the process stays, also the render window does stay (without doing anything of curse)

such errors usually come from hardware devices… do you have any hardware controllers or unusual usb devices connected?

yes is do. i have 2 renkforce USB Grabbers (empia chipset) and two pci video grabbers (with btwincap x64)

i basicly just needed your confirmation that its the issue.
the strange thing is that the problems occur mostly if i start my (pretty big and unimproved ) patch.
Its either everything works, vvvv closes(and is possible to reopen) or vvvv quits renderer image stays and i have to reboot.

do you have any suggestrion for a better solution ? the video quality is just to low for decent keying, wich i want.
i think the biggest problem is the cheap analog/digital conversion and the bad quality of the sourveilance cams i usw. especialy the fact that they change their brightnes values on different situations.

folliowing the vvvv recommendations would the logitech c920 be better, would it have less noise in dark parts, and not change its brightness values, exposure and so on automaticly ? i am also open for other solutions, the problem is that the cameras are 40m away from the camera. and i have max 110€ per camera, it would not have to be hd,

i hope you can help me im a little desperate right now.
