Can't export project with Stride

Now I’m back on Stable 2021.4.11
But I can’t export projects that include stride

When I try and export the stride helppatch ‘overview 3d primitives’ I get this error

I have already tried repairing my 2019 build tools.
I can export some skia helppatches no problem.

Both vvvv and Stride make use of Microsoft.Build - vvvv to export patches, Stride to compile its assets. vvvv 2021.4 and Stride 4.0 target the Build Tools 2019. vvvv 2022.5 and Stride 4.1 target the Build Tools 2022. Now the problem is, that for quite some time both Build Tools versions were so to say compatible. It didn’t matter which version vvvv or Stride internally selected. But with the newest Build Tools 2022 (internal version 17.4) that compatibility broke. Therefor it’s suddendly very important which ones get selected. In the vvvv 2021.4.11 release we added an upper bound checks, basically saying take any Build Tools up to version 17.3. That upper bound is sadly not present in the similar check in Stride. Stride would need to release a new version with that check included.
Because of that missing upper bounds check in Stride, it kind of depends on the order in which the Build Tools were installed / the order in which they appear in the “Visual Studio Installer” tool. To be on the safe side avoid a side-by-side installation alltogether.

Since we’re moving to the new .NET eco system anyways, we should get out of this mess the closer we get to the 2022.5 release. However only recently it turned out that there is another culprit @sunep already had the pleasure of falling into - with the 17.4 release of Visual Sudio / Build Tools it seems the .NET 6 SDK is no longer installed / even removed if it was installled before. So one now has to install that one manually until we add it to our installer. We’ll probably replace the Build Tools installation with the .NET 6 SDK installation because that seems to be the safer bet for the future as we have more control over the exact installed version. OR we give .NET 7 a spin (was just released a couple of days ago), but that would require Stride to catch up as well.

Ok thanks for the update.

It’s not critical that I export the project right now, I only like to do test exports as I go along.
I do plan to make an exported application around Christmas or January.

So Plan A is hope the permanent fix is working by then (that either 2022.5 exports with VL.Audio are fixed or 2022.4 exports with stride are fixed)…

And if not plan B is messing around with my build tool installation to try and get that working for this temporary situation.

Update to my previous post: the latest 2022.5 preview build (371) replaces the optional Build Tools 2022 step with an automatic installation of the .NET 6 SDK (it will do a check before installing it). A quick test on a machine without any VS or .NET SDK installed was successfully exporting a Stride help patch.
