Can SpeechSynthesis(String) Volume Be Controlled?

Or any way to run it through VAudio stuff?

I tried the VL one, but knowing very little about VL I didn’t get very deep.

I could open the node but couldn’t get into any of the pertinent-seeming ones inside. EXTERNAL is shown in the tool tip, is this relevant in any way?

Yes it can, but there is no direct input pin for it; you need to use XML.

See the example from the help patch - tags seem to be stripped here, so I can’t post it.
