someone once used the shoutbox to tell about missing driver support for the apple mini-dvi to video adapter under winxp on bootcamp. is that still the case with beta 1.4 of bootcamp? did anybody try?
tried it, does not work.
it works with the newest generation of the macbook pro (ok, that’s not minidvi at all…), but as far as i know all other macbooks and pros aren’t able to convert to vga with adapters under winxp.
Which gen does it work with? I have a recent nvidia that the dvi-video doesnt work with, or certainly last time I tried it!
macbook to video works with the following:
- a macbook born around 01/0 running bootcamp 1.4 (probably also earlier versions)
- a mini-dvi to vga dongle
- a hardware-only vga-to-video converter like this one.

hi phl! do you frequently work with vvvv on a macbook pro? is this basically recommendable? is there some major troubles? i have to buy a new machine…

Hi Sinus,
I work daily with a macbook pro and vvvv, works fine, the tv out is the only real issue, and it does work although overscan is a little short…
You have to select TV in the montiors rather than the PAL/NTSC that it defaults to…
hi catweasel! the new macbook pro ship with leopard incl. the latest version of bootcamp. what osx do you run? which gfx card? nvidia? as i understand, your macbook pro works fine with dvi to vga. and even this dvi-svhs seems to work?
that´s nice, ´cause now they sell the updated macbook pro at “reasonable” prices…
