Hey, what’s up?

Just to show you VL.DebugInfo.HDE, an editor extension that quickly shows some debug information you might want to provide when looking for help.

Install the extension by typing

nuget install VL.DebugInfo.HDE -pre

in the command line window and press ALT+D to open it

And because you don’t want to type all those manually, pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C will fill your clipboard with formatted debug info to paste directly in a forum post, see for yourself :

Additionally, a simple CTRL+C will simply copy it as markdown.

Please be aware that you might disclose sensitive information when sharing that (package names, folder names passed as arguments, document names, etc…) so make sure you review them before sharing!

There’s currently a known issue with startup options that don’t have a value (like -m for instance), the formatting of the table is a bit off… hopping to solve that in a next release.
