I already mentioned this in the more general node browser thread but would want to give it it’s own thread:
I would very much like to see a shortcut to open the node browser, so that I can create new nodes without having to grab my mouse/wacom pen.
Houdini, cables.gl, Tooll3 all allow to do it that way and use the “TAB” key, which works very well for this and only seems to be used for a relatively obscure function relating to tooltips in vvvv.
In Houdini, on having found your node in the browser, you can hit return once and the new node is attached to your mouse pointer for positioning. If you hit return twice, it is placed on the canvas right away.
That is super fast to work with and would be my biggest wish ATM for vvvv.
