Request is a command to select everything in a direction from the current cursor.
USECASE
Often I have a vertical patch and I need to make more space in the middle of it. I can zoom out and do a rectangle drag but it would be easier (and keep me more in flow) if I could stay at current zoom level and with one command select everything below cursor. Then drag to move it down.
STRETCH GOAL
If I’m in a frame (imagine a class laid out with different operations in frames) then it should only affect the current frame context AND also select an appropriate frame handle so the frame gets bigger as I drag. Frames directly next to the current frame are also moved along to make space.
