IOBox improvements (continued)

As per @joreg’s request, I am starting a new thread for IOBox improvements.

This one I wanted to write anyways and just noticed I mentioned something related it at the very end of the last thread (Entry index in IOBox and other UX improvements for IOBoxes - #7 by seltzdesign)

It’s about the number of visible entries in IOBoxes/Tooltips. I know for tooltips it would have to be a global setting, but for output IOBoxes, it could just be in the middle-click menu.

It would be great if we could adjust how many slices of a spread are being shown, just like we can for input IOBoxes. Currently the middle-click menu only shows the type (supposedly, maybe only for known types) and a button to show the IOBox itself:

Maybe we could get the same visible entries setting there!

Thanks for considering!

i often wish for a faster way to set max visible entries in general. for example it is a bit tiring when you set the the spread count of an iobox higher than 5 and then need to do some more clicks to actually see/edit the entries without scrolling.

That sounds like a nice addition to settings, default count for spread ios
