I am not that familiar with vvvv and I was wondering if it has support for a mouse with four or more buttons? Does it recognize more than 3 (left, right, middle). I only found stuff with those 3 buttons and not more.

i heard some rumours about an generic HID node…
meanwhile you could try if you get any output from a GameController (Devices Analog) .
you can also use one of the popular programmable input emulators around. don’t limit yourself to just one tool ;)
