Vvvv and maxmsp

Hast Du ne “einfache” Loesung oder weist wie`s geht? Icvh schicke Dir mal
meine bescheidenen Patches mit, damit Du gucken kannst, was ich gemacht
habe. Waere supernett, wenn Du Zeit haettest mir da weiterzuhelfen.
Dummerweise brauch ich es moeglichst sehr bald, braeuchte das Patch fuer die Hannover Messe, wo wir ab naechste Woche ausstellen.

the above is from private mail - so for all non german speakers: jens wants to exchange integers between maxmsp and vvvv and has included his current patches.

jens, this should be easy. your way doing it with raw udp messages is very easy on the vvvv side. i dont see any fundamental errors in your vvvv patch. i just have no experience of how to receive the strings and convert them to integers on the max side. perhaps one of the maxmsp experts out there can help if the other side looks plausible or not.

anyway, the preferred way of communicating between vvvv and maxmsp would use OSC. See the OSCEncoder and OSCDecoder helppatches. i think max contains some similar helppatches.
