When you have a Cons node, (or a Group in VVVV) with like 15 inputs plugged in.
And you want to plug a node to the left…
Increase Pin Count from the left (Ctl Shift Add), keeping all previously plugged inputs and shifting them, could be handy…

interesting idea, noted. however, the end goal is to add pins at any place (front, in between, end) by just moving/hovering close with the mouse. one of the many UI improvements we have on our list.
