then run the contained setup.exe
afterwards you may archive or delete this folder.

i tried to install DX9 but it says that i already have newer version. Anyway - run as administrator solved that problem for me. Thanks.
I have Windows vista 64 and could not get i to work.
After
“right click the vvvv.exe icon and go to properties. Under the compatibility tab check ‘run this program as an administrator’”
as descriped it worked just fine.
