USA workshops?

I live in San Diego and am a relative novice to programming and haven’t been too far in a patcher program before. I am wondering if there are any people close by who might lend me some help to get me off the ground in VVVV

I’m currently based in San Francisco. But in September I move to New York to take ITP at NYU!

Will seems kind of strange learning Max/Jitter after playing with vvvv :) If I get good at vvvv I hope to do a workshop at ITP.
