Smooth trail in shooting star style

Hi guys i was trying to do a shooting star effect like and did a simple patch with a moving sphere and a queue, it works ok but the faster the star goes from A to B the less “particles” there are so the trail looks very fake and i don’t know how to make it more “full of particles”

i’ve attached a simple example patch if someone can help me!

you can try to create a line behind the first sphere.
the line can have a transition from alpha=1 to alpha=0.
for the position of the line-points use the queue.
