Proper UV's from a Maya model?

Hello all,
I’ve followed the Export X files from Maya tutorial, but can’t get the texture to map properly to my model as it looks within Maya.
I’m using cvXporter 1.3 and the model seems to render fine in vvvv, but when I grab the XFile nodes ‘TextureFileName’ and connect it to my PhongDirectional node, the texture is applied differently then the way I originally mapped it.
It’s there a way to get the correct texture coordinates from the XFile and apply them? I looked at the ‘TexCoords’ node but couldn’t figure it out.
