Open native application from/ in vvvv?

Hi all!

I’m looking for a way to open a native application (MS Excel) from vvvv, and ideally integrate it into my vvvv application in a frame or texture or something else. It must remain interactive though.

The intention is to show the other application (window) content in my vvvv app, as if it was a part of it.

I would highly appreciate any advice on how to start or what options to consider!

Not that I have any experience with doing such things, but have a look at

  1. shellexecute and
  2. screenshot
    and their helpfiles. Should get you along.
