Newbie Needs video help

Hi. I am very new to this program and am finding it not as intuitive as other programming aids I am used to. Here’s what I would like to do…

I would like to have a live video feed from a mini DV camera connected via firewire. I would like to use a chroma key against a green screen and composite it with a still jpg and have the composition output to a television monitor via my video card.

I can’t even get the video in to output to a render gdi with the documentation.

So here’s my questions. Am I just screwede and in way over my head? Does anybody know any tutorials that will show me basics in this area? Is this even possible with vvvv?

gdi can’t play video.
to see your dv cam use the followinjg nodes:

VideoIn -> VideoTexture -> Quad - > Renderer(EX9)

videos are rendered as textures on 3d objects in vvvv …

Thanks I got that working… But is what I am trying to do possible? I am currently experimenting with the chromakey shader in the user shaders area. Am I on the right track?
