Hi - just got a 4-channel video capture card.
I’m trying to get multiple simultaneous inputs into VVVV. I tried 2 videoin nodes, and can only select the driver in the node created first. The card seems to work fine, as I can switch between the various inputs and see them just fine… but only on the one node.
Do I have to spread the analog input video pin or something? That doesn’t seem possible.

the hauppauge impactvcb is not able to provide multiple synchronous inputs. you can only switch inputs as you observed.

I see now that the bt878 chip digitizes one channel only…
What i was looking for was low-latency multiple channel capture. 4 channels would’ve been great but 2 channels would be adequate. Is it possible to use the Hauppauge as well as a firewire camcorder input at the same time? (i.e. multiple drivers from multiple devices simultaneously)
Also, I was poking around but can’t seem to find a dealer for that Falcon card in the US. About how much do they cost?
I should have known that $46 for four channels of simultaneous capture was way too cheap to be true… I’m guessing any device that would do that would be out of my price range…
not sure about the price, i didn’t buy it. but it may cost similar to the spectra which is listed with 350$.
also it is very easy to use several of the hauppauge cards in one machine or use several cameras via firewire.
