MIDI effect VSTs

Is there a way that I’m missing to route MIDI from one VST (for example microtuner) to another within vvvv or do I need to use a work around?
I can think of 3, which one is best?

  • Send my MIDI to another VST host and then receive it back in vvvv
  • Do all the MIDI processing in the other host and send audio (and MIDI?) to vvvv
  • Use energyXT or Buzé VST in vvvv and load the plugins within that ?

MIDI Yoke was always good for me.
