See the attached patch (uploaded with Mozilla Firefox fyi): the attempt to insert 7 slices into a single Ringbuffer frame only works when there is an IOBox connected to its output, otherwise it fails (Ringbuffer crashes, no tooltips, you know the deal). Works perfectly in beta12, though.
