are there any performance concerns if using many html textures (>200)? looking at the task manager it seems to be quite cpu friendly but eats a lot of memory - debug cycles also looks fine.
on the other hand i experienced some crashes for fast spread changes at the url input.

if you can live without such fast url switching for now you should be fine i hope.
i can not really answer your first question though. node is pretty new and was moved to the alpha version of vvvv in order to find out such questions like yours ;)
