Hi there,

Im having intermittent crashes:

Exception EAccessViolation in Modul ntdll.dll bei 00010B2C.
Zugriffverletzung bei Adresse 7C910B2C in Model ‘ntdll.dll’ Schrieben von Adresse 0640069

Im using DigitalSlaves lovely Electricity.fx in my patch and think it could be throwing up the error?

Hello,

ntdll.dll in an explorer’s ressource !

I think that the problem is more complex than involving only a small shader.

I would recommend to :

  • Get your XP install CD
  • Browse the CD : \i386\ntdll.dll
  • Rename YOUR ntdll.dll in Windows\System32 as ntdll.old
  • Then Copy the new one from CD to Windows\System32
  • Restart
  • After reboot, erase the ntdll.old in order to be clean

I would also recommend after that using a Registry cleaner like Regcleaner.

mm but also consider that it may not have anything todo with ntdll.dll at all but just be a plain bug in vvvv (which won’t get fixed doing the things recommended above).

in such a case a simple patch demonstrating that problem would probably help us to identify the bogus.
