How to start playing with shaders, also interested in compute shaders and what you could use them for

2 x 3hr ? 1 for beginners and 1 for advanced?

Do you have an idea who you want to host the workshop?
Don’t know, but think these could go hand in hand with the specialised instance noodles and ray marching workshops that are already proposed.

DX11 shaders is probably too broad as a topic. shaders are in the end just programs which can do a lot. there are:
compute shader applications like particles
texture fx
material shader
fun with geometry
special techniques like stencils

the question is, what do you expect from a dx11 shader workshop
