Connecting Arduino to VVVV

Hi All,

I’m trying to connect an arduino to a webcam using vvvv, and found a tutorial online Firmata, Arduino and VVVV, an introduction - YouTube . It requires you to have the Arduino_with_Firmata file which should be located in girl power. However I only have the Arduino_without_Firmata file there. Has anyone else ran into a similar problem, and found a mod to change Arduino_without_Firmata into Arduino_with_Firmata?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this is a rather dated tutorial you’re referring to. i’m afraid we don’t have an equivalent new one but i’d like to invite you to download the new vvvv gamma, which nowadays is your much better choice.

When you start vvvv, it opens a helpbrowser, where you can look for “firmata” like so:

then click the entries to open the corresponding help patches. let us know if you have any more questions.
