I’ve recently had a couple of occasions where I get an error message when trying to create a renderer ex9 -
didn’t create node; [0.v4p ////, without name (ID: 1)](0.v4p ////, without name (ID: 1)): Range check error
Only cure so far is to restart machine
Using b27.1
we’d usually argue that this is a driver problem. but as i understand you say this is happening sometimes on a machine and other times not (on the same machine). this is very odd and you’d need to find out what you have to do in order for this to happen.
(a driver update may still help)
also is this some exotic hardware?
Only unusual hardware is an Asus Xtion.
Could be related.
The problem has only happened twice and I’m not really sure what the similarities were each time. Not sure if it was the same patch that triggered it, if a patch triggered it at all.
Both times it happened I quit vvvv, started vvvv, opened a blank patch, and the problem was still there.
I’ll keep an eye on it and report back if it happens again.

had the same Problem.
Only way to get rid of it is restarting the machine as well.
Had it twice since iam using 27.1.
Shame on me that i didn’t checked error messages.
Its a very rare bug and i was not able to repeat it.
But i had the feeling that it likes to appear after hibernation mode of my pc and then especially when i open a downloaded patch(not one of mine).
Hardware: Thinkpad.
I will check error messages the next time.
