new on vvvv, so tried the videoIn tut to check my webcam. I do not seem to be able te create the videoOut(Dshow9) node at all. There is no node appearing on my patch. Other nodes do work though
I reinstalled directX 9c, with no results. Any clues?
please create a Renderer (TTY) node first and then try the VideoOut (DShow9) node again. there should now appear an errormessage in the tty-renderer which you could post here.
do you by chance have an old graphiccard? or at least old drivers? is this on a laptop?
There’s a problem there indeed, says directdraw is not supported. I do have a pretty old graphics card (nvidia geforce2 gts 32Mb), but it should support directdraw.
nevertheless, time to look for driver updates or something
you can try Start->Run->dxdiag.exe
there on the “Display” (Anzeige) tab you should see in the “Driver” section top right the DDI-Version which should say: 9 (or above). for all the dx9-stuff (including videoout) to function.
