3D Objects Grid

I try to create a 4x4 elements grid out of 2 imported 3D models, similar to the spreads-tutorial

In the tutorial there is only one object (the rounded rect) that is copied and repeated but i would need 2 objects alternating (like the colors in the tutorial).

Can somebody give me a hint?

Even though it was not exactly what I’ve been looking for (4x4 elements instead of 2x2), it nonetheless was the hint I was looking for to know how to go on.
