Hey, this is Markus.
I’m a Ix designer and Ix design researcher currently working on my MA in Interaction Design Research in the Everyday Design Studio at the School of Interactive Art + Technology at SFU in Vancouver, BC, Canada. As a designer I like to work on projects that go beyond a screen and have a physical/tangible component. As a researcher I enjoy exploring fields such as slow technology, everyday design, SID, DIY, and speculative design. No matter what project I’m working on I love getting my hands dirty building prototypes.
Before I moved to Vancouver I lived and grew up in Germany where I received my BA in Interaction Design from a small but well known Design University, the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) in Schwäbisch Gmünd. In my spare time I like to get addicted to all kinds of sports, hang out with friends, build and tinker with electronics, take pictures, listen to music, read books, and play video games.
