Websocket Local Network

i’m trying to connect to the websocket server from another machine. i can’t get it working. i’m sure i had it working a few months ago.

using 127.0.0.1 , everything is fine. but when i use the IP of the machine, it isn’t even listening. (see screenshot) ,

i have a basic setup, two PC’s , firewalls are disabled, pings are working. what am i missing ?

Using VL.WebServer with browsers on other machines

@bjoern this kind of worked, but only for one device. Once I tried to open it up to all device using that program, the old device remained happy but no others connected. Interesting program WFC but I found it only slightly less confusing than Win Defender Firewall’s default software. I keep getting the feeling I’m leaving a security hole somewhere :-? @Rayment I also saw that on the page but I couldn’t understand what it meant. Its beginning to crystalize though. I’ll try the IP thing again tom…

i faced 3 problems, one of them was the commandline setting for vvvv websocket, the rest has nothing to do with vvvv. appearently cables within a windows webview can’t connect but from a electron build it does.
