When I try to install VVVV with the web installer I get a 404 error. I guess its because MS removed or moved the dx9 install pack from their website, so the installer hangs when trying to download and install the package. Install just works if I install the dx9 package and then run the offline installer.

we’re aware of this problem. but it should only be the case if you’re not using the vvvv installer, right? because the installer has all needed packs on board and should install everything for you in one go.
No, the offline installer alone did not work. I and two of my colleagues had to install dx9 pack first for the offline installer to work. Just checked back with them to make sure.
