Along with the ability to find nodes in a patch it would be great to just replace them with a node that has the right signature (by type if not name) and output type.
It could work by a"replace" field appearing below the find field and on clicking on it a node browser appears with only the nodes that are suitable available, and all others are filtered out. To what level it should work ( just in the patch being worked on, sub-patches, whole documents I’m not sure, and whether it does them all or they can be changed one at a time could also be interactive.
