I’ve been working with the folks behind InteractiveJobs.io to help developers in our industry find jobs quickly and easily. It’ll be focused on interactive developers and creative coders using vvvv, TouchDesigner, Max MSP, Processing, Unity, Unreal, and similar tools. The site will feature both long-term positions and short-term contracts.

You can visit https://www.InteractiveJobs.io to see the listings and sign up for the mailing list to be the first to hear about jobs. I believe they’re just getting their Facebook page and Messenger bots up and running so I’ll post the link to those when they’re live.

Haha, apparently it’s a US hiring thing that they have to be specific. There was one I was reading that required you to sit, stand, walk, and pick up objects, or something to that regard.

Will my email be shared or sold to the whole wide world of internetz?

I was brought on to help with that since I’ve been working with a ton of companies for years in the installation field. There’s also a bit of manual grind happening behind the scenes to reach out to a lot of companies, check their sites for jobs, and searching more conventional job boards for jobs that are appropriate but would be lost in the noise on those sites.

We use Mailchimp for that. It’s a pretty standard tool for mailing lists, used by everyone from companies to blogs to websites like InteractiveJobs.io. I don’t believe there’s any Twitter-related email service (unless Twitter bought Mailchimp?) or link to Twitter. I don’t even think InteractiveJobs has a twitter account yet haha.

No, this was another reason I was brought on, because I’ve been running my blog http://Elburz.io and it’s newsletter for ~2 years now (iirc) and I definitely respect everyone on my list (as I work with many of them regularly). So your email is safe.

I’m honestly not too sure about that. It would be something about the instagram side of things. Since it’s a subdomain it might just be the subdomain they attach to their embedded sign ups? When I did a web search for it, I just found other people’s mailchimp sign up pages:

From a management standpoint though, your email would go from the form into our mailchimp mailing list and wouldn’t go anywhere else from our doing.
